Tennisu no Ouji-sama
For those of you who haven't seen my multiple tweetbombs lately, I think it's safe to say that I have become a huge fan of the Tennisu no Ouji-sama (Prince Of Tennis) anime series. I started watching this series lately because it's the holidays, and I needed to find some way to spend the time since my friends (hint: LIM XINYI) are still busy (hint: STUDYING HER ASS OFF IN JC). Plus, my poly friends are working, or overseas, or preparing to go overseas, or just rotting at home. Yay.
So! What more could I ask for in an anime series? Cute guys, playing tennis against other guys... Sigh. Can you believe that Ryoma Echizen, the main character of the series, is only twelve?!?!?!?!?! I don't care if this makes me borderline pedo, I don't care that I think this character is extremely attractive, and I am not ashamed of openly fangirling over him for the simple reason that he does not look like a twelve-year-old. In fact, he looks around my age, so I feel completely justified having a character-crush on him.
So, if you see me tweeting all of a sudden about tennis terminology, or certain senpais, or suddenly insulting someone you've never heard of before, chances are that I'm tweeting while watching PoT episodes. So there. In case anyone wants to know (even if you don't want to know, who cares, this is my blog and I'll post whatever the hell I want), here are the names of the tennis regulars (they're like the elite tennis players in Seigaku, which is the name of their school):
1. Tezuka-buchou (Captain)
2. Oishi-senpai (Vice-Captain)
3. Momoshiro-senpai
4. Kaidou-senpai
5. Eiji-senpai
6. Taka-senpai
7. Fuji-senpai
8. Inui-senpai
9. Ryoma Echizen
THEY. ARE. SO. COOL. *dies from excessive fangirling*
Oh, just to add in some trivia that may or may not be meaningless to you, Ryoma-kun has the tendency to utter this phrase: "Mada mada dane". This literally means means "No, not yet," but varies in similarity, with meanings that include "You still have a long way to go," "Not good enough" or "Still no good," and "It's not over yet." He says this in every single freaking episode of the anime, and it's his catchphrase. Sigh~~~
Anyway, I guess I'm kind of done fangirling over this, but do check it out if you have the time (I really think the series is awesome!).
