2014 - 2015


This picture is self-explanatory: the New Year has passed and it's finally 2015 - I hope everyone had a great celebration, be it with friends or family or on your own. None of that "new year, new me" nonsense, but let's make 2015 a great year!

So much has happened in 2014, and Tish suggested I list down all the significant things that happened in the past year because well, it's nice to look back at all the stuff that's happened.


  • Celebrated the New Year with friends for the first time
  • That huge fight with Tish
  • Bandung trip with CMM peeps
  • Graduated from TP
  • Got accepted into PSB (and made friends with a whole new bunch of crazy people)
  • Aoi-kun (the biggest fuckup I've ever made, and the biggest lesson I had to learn in 2014 - he really broke me) BUT I'm glad I've finally made and kept to my decision to move the fuck on
  • Tried cosplay for the first time with Kira
  • That trip to Japan with dad
  • Met and made new friends online (and I'm very glad for that)
  • Started posting fanfiction online
  • Became more accepting of myself
I'm also thankful for all the friends I've made this year, as well as my old friends who never left. Thank you for staying with me, and let's meet up more this year when we can!

Tish - You're the best, sister. There isn't much I can say here without sounding like a sappy mess, so I'll save it for when we meet so I can sound like a sappy mess in front of you and you can judge me to hell and back for it. Seriously though, we need to have more coffee (and bitching) seshes this year, hopefully when the both of us aren't so busy.

Russ - One of the weirdest (and best) friends I've made from TP, I'm glad we're still friends. I'll go harass you at your shop one of these days!

Kira - I know, you're busy, I'm busy... Let's hang out more for coffee please though, and maybe (definitely, who am I kidding?) cosfests! We don't have to cosplay though, I'd be more than happy just to freak out over merch and idols :33

Zac - Well, you're overseas, but at least we can still keep in touch over whatsapp and all. Stay warm hun!!

TP girls - PLAN MBS WAS A SUCCESS YAY. Though one of us is going to leave soon, let's meet for more dinners shall we?

JoJuNat - JO IS GOING. MANY TEARS WILL BE SHED. DON'T GO JO. Seriously though, I'm sure we'll all find a way to keep in touch (the timezone difference isn't so bad!) and we can all meet up to celebrate when Jo comes back for the holidays!

Pingu - THANK YOU, THANK YOU MY ONLINE-BUT-NOT-REALLY FRIEND. It's funny how the dynamics work out sometimes, don't you think? Let's hope 2015 will be a year of nice (TAME) plot bunnies and good writing and happy smiling laughing boys because I honestly don't think we want a repeat of 2014.

NAS girls - We barely managed to meet up in 2014, didn't we :( let's try to meet up more this year, I genuinely miss you guys!!

CircleBioOilRoundTherapy -  I CANNOT KEEP UP WITH OUR GROUP NAMES ANYMORE CAN WE STOP CHANGING THEM. In all honesty, I'm incredibly glad for you nerds - university wouldn't be half as fun without all of you. Let's make the next trimester even more fun (and I know we're all going to die together with the timetable given to us) and hopefully we can all go for more dinners (and take several hours because HOLY HELL HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE ALL OF US TO EAT WTF) and karaoke sessions - we need to invite Richard along too because hello we definitely need our superstar!

Ookami-kun - What can I say, I'm glad I met you. Although I still find myself wondering about whether you're the real deal, I'm happy just talking to you for now. Thank you for being so understanding and sweet, and I really do hope that we'll be able to meet up one day.

Honestly speaking, 2014 was a shitfest and there were so many times I almost gave up on the year altogether. I'm glad I didn't, though, I'm glad I held on and didn't give up. 


It's on to the new year now.
(And looking at this picture only reminds me that I am way overdue for that Japan trip post I promised you guys last year...)

Red.

I always dye my hair red - I started dyeing it two years ago after I completed my internship because I felt that it was time, I was ready, and I haven't dyed it a different colour ever since. Of course, constant dye jobs do nothing for the hair, which is why I allowed mum to nag me into doing a henna job on my hair instead of the usual bright red I ask of the hairstylist. The result is that my hair now looks orangey instead of red, which is what I expected but nevertheless found myself incredibly disappointed with. (The irony is that I never have such complaints about my hair colour whenever my red fades to orange within the first two weeks of the fresh dye.) Tsuki-kun told me that he felt the orange suited me better since the red was too bright, but I can't quite bring myself to agree with him. I don't want to look at myself in the mirror anymore. I don't want to see my reflection, I don't want to see that ugly girl staring back at me. Those pleading eyes. She wants me to do something, anything, just so she doesn't look so ugly. She's fat and ugly. Hideous, both inside and outside. All she wants is to stop thinking. Because every time she does, the knife inches ever closer to her heart. She will never be as perfect as her . She just wants to stop looking. Shut up. Just shut up. Stop comparing. I know I'm ugly. Stop thinking. Leave me alone! She wants to stop seeing all the fat bits, all the wobbly jiggly bits that she aches to just cut off. Just grab a knife and slice them all off and she won't be so FAT .
