Second day of work so far - everything's going pretty well, and everyone's really nice. It actually feels like I'm an intern again, to be honest!

0917 - Already settled in, and now it's time to get started on the stuff for today. It feels nice to be working on stuff again, trying to finish the tasks given as quickly as possible.

0957 - Flood of people in, rush of people out. We're always rushing, but sometimes I wonder if we know where we're even going.

1019 - And here I was thinking oh, this cardigan is a lot warmer than I give it credit for ahh~ and OH HOW I AM PROVEN WRONG. I'd give anything for my hoodie right about now~~ Although the office is so quiet the cold hardly bothers me.

1025 - Sleepy~ But then I'm always sleepy ugh.

1135 - The medicine for my cold sore burns. I wish it'd just burn the damned thing away for good.

1358 - Just got back from lunch with two of my colleagues - they're really nice, and I never knew how big a difference it could be to work someplace familar - it's infinitely more comfortable.

1413 - My god is it ever nasty to accidentally taste medicinal cream.

1458 - Have I ever mentioned how thankful I am for the fact that birthday cards aren't dripping with glitter the way Christmas cards always are? Because thank god.

1501 - Falling asleep. As usual. And stressed because it seems like my cold sore's getting worse NO I DON'T WANNA BRING THIS THING WITH ME TO BALI.

1506 - Thinking of which, Bali's in about 4 days if you don't count today. I'm so excited wow - we all need to meet to change money and do whatever last-minute shopping anyone needs to do. AND WE'RE SORT OF CAMPING OUT AT THE AIRPORT FOR THE RIDICULOUSLY EARLY FLIGHT THE NEXT DAY. Nothing could possibly beat spending the night at the airport because I've never done so, and I think it's going to be pretty fucking awesome.

1525 - I need to remember to bring my hoodie when we head to the airport, because there is no way I'm gonna survive the cold without my Hogwarts hoodie.

1540 - So. Sleepy.

1545 - It's going to rain, which is really, really awesome because rain is the best. On the flipside, it's not helping my oh-god-I'm-falling-asleep case.

1635 - So the Friday-zoo thing is a no-go, which is alright actually - I was looking forward to it, but it would have been weird to have to ask for leave so early after starting this job anyway. Another time then!

1658 - Just finished a rewrite of the copy my boss wanted me to work on - I'm not sure what he's looking for exactly, but hopefully I'll be able to ask him when he steps back into the office.

1754 - Been writing names on stickers for the past hour - hand's so cramped I can barely type. Leaving soon, I hope!

Red.

I always dye my hair red - I started dyeing it two years ago after I completed my internship because I felt that it was time, I was ready, and I haven't dyed it a different colour ever since. Of course, constant dye jobs do nothing for the hair, which is why I allowed mum to nag me into doing a henna job on my hair instead of the usual bright red I ask of the hairstylist. The result is that my hair now looks orangey instead of red, which is what I expected but nevertheless found myself incredibly disappointed with. (The irony is that I never have such complaints about my hair colour whenever my red fades to orange within the first two weeks of the fresh dye.) Tsuki-kun told me that he felt the orange suited me better since the red was too bright, but I can't quite bring myself to agree with him. I don't want to look at myself in the mirror anymore. I don't want to see my reflection, I don't want to see that ugly girl staring back at me. Those pleading eyes. She wants me to do something, anything, just so she doesn't look so ugly. She's fat and ugly. Hideous, both inside and outside. All she wants is to stop thinking. Because every time she does, the knife inches ever closer to her heart. She will never be as perfect as her . She just wants to stop looking. Shut up. Just shut up. Stop comparing. I know I'm ugly. Stop thinking. Leave me alone! She wants to stop seeing all the fat bits, all the wobbly jiggly bits that she aches to just cut off. Just grab a knife and slice them all off and she won't be so FAT .
