Day two of Bangkok! Woke up earlier than expected because well, our body clocks are still running an hour ahead.

Headed down for breakfast after washing up - no one's open just yet which explains why we're currently sitting in a McDonald's. I'm not fond of the idea of travelling just to eat in a fast food restaurant, but ehh my stomach disagrees. I'm hungry dammit.

Morning traffic on the way to breakfast.

Finally managed to set up our tourist sim cards! They're a fantastic deal if you're here on a short holiday - the card gives you unlimited internet for a week, and it's really useful if your internet usage is as heavy as mine (and my fam's).

I swear now it looks like I'm doing a promo for them, but it's just that good.

Had lunch at Platinum Mall - so spicy (I added more chilli flakes by accident) but soooooo good.

I rarely take foodpics, but this was too good to resist!
Thai noodles are so love.

Getting my mails done after a long, long time and oh god it feels so dammed good. I usually do my own nails during the school trimester to save money (a gelish manicure in Singapore costs an easy $40-70 dollars depending on colour and design, and I can only use gelish because I'm a frequent hacker of keyboards and normal colour chips away far too quickly), but it feels so good to feel like I'm treating my nails right again.

Settling for dinner now - dad likes eating early, and he's also scoped out this Japanese restaurant that he wants to try.

Me? I'm happy for dinner, but I'm also content enough just trying a bit of all the street food and snacks I see.

I mean look at all this:

This is foodie heaven, and all for a fraction of the price you'll get at home.

The night market is also really fascinating, and it's wonderful to see how vibrant the city gets at night - the pace and music of its people doesn't slow down just because the sun's gone down!

All the stuff for sale - if I let myself go I'd never be able to leave Bangkok, what with all the stuff I'd buy.

Most shops close pretty early because they also open early, and this is where the night market steps in with its stalls and wares.

The night market comes with free entertainment too, and they're not bad at all!

Also sat in a tuk-tuk while on the way back to the hotel and it was so amazing - for those who don't know, a tuk-tuk is a three-wheeled vehicle that serves as a faster option for those who don't want to take a taxi. I've always loved the tuk-tuks because they're so fast and reckless and slightly dangerous, and when we sat in the tuk-tuk today I was giggling like a child on crack, I had so much fun.

Managed to snap this quick pic before we sped off again.

I hate to end this post on such an abrupt note, but it's late and I'm tired - can't wait for tomorrow.
