So we're back home in Singapore - been unpacking and keeping everything that we brought back from Bangkok. It's been a good haul!

I'll seriously miss Bangkok, actually - besides the shopping, there's the food and the people and the culture, and I feel like I'll miss all that. Can't wait to be back, honestly!

Went to the famous Terminal 21 shopping mall - it's a themed mall where the entire mall is sort of like an airport of sorts, and each level of the mall is a different country - for example, the ground floor is Paris and the basement is Rome or the Caribbean.

Absolutely loved how moving to each level required you to "depart" and "arrive" in a new destination.

I also really liked the way each floor was decorated .
This was level 1 - Tokyo!

Level 2 - London.

Level 3 - Istanbul.

Level 4 - San Francisco.

Unfortunately, most of the stuff sold in Terminal 21 isn't cheap, and this really isn't the place to hit if you're looking for a cheap shopping experience. However, I do recommend just popping by if you can - the mall is really well-done, and it's still worth having a look around if you have the time.

BLOODY BUNNY.
I haven't seen this in ages!

Like I said, the mall is really quite beautiful because of the attention given to decorative detail.

On a completely unrelated note, there are quite a few stalls and shops you'll find selling soaps and bath salts and the like, and it was hilarious how some of the soap bars had "DON'T EAT" stickers because they really looked like food.

Case in point:
This was soap - DO NOT EAT.

And this was ice cream - you can tell how someone might mistake one for the other, yes?

We headed over to CentralWorld later in the evening to have a look at the Christmas decorations - they seemed to have collaborated with Hong Kong Disneyland, and the displays were so cute!

This was effing cute, to see these huge Tsum Tsums stacked upon one another!

This was really nice as well - there was a huge field of light flowers and made for a really pretty picture.

And of course, no picture is complete without a selfie that makes you look as though you're wearing Mickey Mouse's ears.

And it being Christmas Eve only meant that the place was absolutely PACKED - no matter where you walked or how you angled yourself you were always either in someone else's photo or had someone else's body part in yours.

CHRISTMAS DAY.

We were headed for Chatuchak market at first - it's a huge weekend market, and it sells ANYTHING, from furniture to pets to clothes and food. It's basically a shopping paradise!

Got sidetracked while walking to the BTS station though - dad wanted to try out the river line because we happened to see a load of people taking the boats to work.

Boarded from Pratunam Pier.

Yes, I like taking pictures of tickets - I think they're pretty.

By the time we actually got to Chatuchak market, it was way too late and just about all the shops were closed - ended up walking out anyway.

Saw fried insects on the way out - they're a local snack, but I still don't dare to try them just yet...

I like how the clouds in the upper right corner look like "夢", which is the Chinese character for "dream".

It's so cliché how it's always said that all good things must end, but seriously I didn't want Bangkok to end because it was so good to just get away from Singapore for a while and breathe in a different place, move to a different rhythm.

It's back to the hustle and bustle of daily life here again, but I'll be looking forward to when I can visit again!
