School, Sentosa and cute-but-attached GLs.
School has officially started today, whee. But then again I'm not in school at the moment cos today's a tutorial-only day and we don't have tutorials in week 1. So no school today, instead I'm chilling at home and feeling weird that others are in school when I'm not.
Alright, this blog is in serious need of mini-updating cos I have been superbusy these few days and probably have minimal time to actually post. I'll most likely write my blog drafts down {I can't really control my urge to pick up a pen or pencil and just write}, but actual posting will have to wait. So, letting you guys know in advance.
Alright, I have met my class B1C03, which is actually pretty awesome, no matter the fact that I thought they sucked when I first saw them. I mean, I actually had pretty high hopes for my class. When you think of Masscomm, most of the time you'll have the impression that a class full of Masscomm people will be like a class full of drama kids - loud, outspoken and just plain in-your-face hyper. This was the impression I so hopefully carried to school, and needless to say, I was more than pretty darn disappointed when I saw them. I couldn't get over the fact that I had to make the first move for each and every one of my classmates' introductions, and I was already dreading having to work with them for all the projects that we would obviously be given.
But hey, I've been proven wrong so many times, and I have to say, I'm thanking whichever gods are listening that I have been proven wrong in this case. My class isn't hyper, at least not in my eyes because for some inexplicable reason people just seem to find my hyperness intimidating keke. But! We do have a good feeling of camaraderie that exists among all of us, and that's a good thing because we've only known one another for about 2 days :) And you know what's just as good? We only have two major cliques at the moment - the girls vs the boys. Not bad, I have to say! :)
I've already met some awesome classmates who seem to like me back : Jocelyn, Ronald, Cherylaida and Juliana. They're pretty okay with me, I guess, and have already started calling me a drama queen, which I don't really mind. Plus, some of them (I'm not telling who) just live for good gossip and cute guys! I think I'm really gonna like hanging out with them in school, :D
I also went out on a Skelto trip last Saturday to Sentosa's Tanjong Beach with the other empires : Baetos, Eckton, Vetra and Tovaz. I can't really believe it took me a full day of begging my mom just to score permission to go T.T But quite worth it! Not much interaction with the other empires though, we Skelto-ians just stuck with our own kind and so did the others. But I do wish I could have taken a picture of the beach, because half of it was completely covered in green due to us wearing our green camp shirts! So cool :) I hung out with some of our guys, but mostly walked along the beach and watched the people getting thrown into the water. Even the girls were targeted, because the guys didn't believe how so many of us could so coincidentally all have our periods. XD I was almost thrown too, but I managed to persuade my guys somewhat to not throw me in. Though I was kind of tempted to just screw everything and go with the getting-thrown-into-the-sea flow, but I had to comfort a friend whose phone kicked the proverbial bucket after she got dunked.
The outing was fun, and I was pretty surprised that so many GLs remembered me. I actually thought that most of them didn't even know my name, but it turns out that I'm pretty 'well-known' in the Skelto FOW group due to my insane hyperness and always getting called out by my GLs to lead the cheers! Yay! And I was so happy that loads of my Skelto FOW-mates actually thought that I should have won the 'Best Freshie' award! LOL! But I'm not bragging, people, I'm just really really happy. And flattered, too! Who knew that they actually thought that highly of me...
Oh well, good moments don't always last, do they? So onwards to the bad news. Remember the GL that I said was cute? Yeah, it turns out that I sort of have a crush on him, but I just had to find out that he has a girlfriend. Whoop-de-do. Sigh, that doesn't stop him from being awesomely cute though, and it won't stop me from looking at him and saying hi {if I'll actually be able to speak} when and if I see him in school. It does mean that I have absolutely no hope though. Double sigh.
And the other bummer is that I got seriously sunburnt. Think fried to a crisp. Yeap, that's kind of how red I was, and still am. It's a good thing I heal fast from sunburns, though it sure as anything didn't stop my mom from chewing me out about my sudden resemblance to a cooked lobster. I'm not really complaining though, at least I look a little darker now. XD
Though I'll probably start freaking out when my skin starts peeling. Boo.
