FOWs, cute GLs and SYFs. (WARNING: Long Post.)
Well, it's been a long while since I last posted, hasn't it? I guess I really should get to updating this.
First of all, I've been at TP's FOW (Freshman Orientation Workshop), which is more commonly known as the non-residential camp. Our houses are called 'empires', and we have Vetra, Tovaz, Eckton, Baetos and Skelto. I'm very happy to say that I'm in Skelto!Okay, I had a minor mix-up with the empires in the beginning, because {I have no idea how} my name got registered twice, so I was placed under both Eckton and Skelto. In the end, I was just told to choose whichever empire I wanted. Skelto for me!! :)
I was super-high during my camp, which was good since it got everybody else high as well. You can ask anyone in my sub-empire, which is SKELFER by the way, and they'll say that my level of high-ness reached insane proportions during camp. They didn't even believe me when I said that I didn't touch the Red Bull at all!
It would take me much too long to possibly describe all of the FOW programmes, so I'll have to do a bit of touch-and-go here. Okay. The wet games were freaking awesome (though we all smelled disgusting later due to the lethal combination of water, sweat and smelly shoes), the mass dance was cool because everyone was having fun going nuts, and we came in first for the entire FOWwhich resulted in our entire empire almost tearing the sports complex apart due to us cheering so loudly. Quite messy, huh? Believe me, this mess you're reading here is nothing compared to the awesome chaos that was the FOW. One event after another, nonstop cheering and running from one end of the school to the other and back again, it was no wonder that we all ended up sunburnt. Loving it, though! :D
Oh, and when we exchanged contact info after the camp, no one believed me when I said I didn't have a facebook account. The reason? According to them, I'm way too hyper and 'popular' to not have an account. Seriously, it took me quite a while to convince them, and even then half of them were still sceptical because of my Drama Club history. LOL. I love them though, we're all one big Skelto family!!
Okay, to be completely random, I kind of think I'm moving on from 'Edward'. After two and a half years, I think I'm moving on. Why? Because I seem to have developed a crush on one of my GLs from FOW. I'm not going to say who he is, I'll just say that he's older than me, and in a different school (I'm in the school of business). Oh well. I told Xinyi about him, and after grilling me all about what he did during the FOW (looking for possible signs keke), she said {and I quote her at this point}, "I think there's a high chance for you two." THANKS, XINYI, I LOVE YOU LOL. Anyway, now I find that there's no chance. Why?
He's a graduate.
Really, I feel so screwed up. I finally start moving on, and here I find that I'll never get to see the guy that I'm now starting to crush on. Oh, in case anyone's wondering why it's a good thing that I'm moving on from 'Edward' when I've been perfectly happy liking him all along. Let's get this straight: I don't know how I feel about him anymore. Maybe I still like him, but I can't feel it. I don't feel that warm glow that I used to feel whenever I thought of him. And I'd been holding on, unsure if I'd ever move on, because as much as I'm happy liking him, it really gets kind of depressing to not see your crush for more than a year.
So, in summary, the GL I'm kind of liking (should I put his name in?) at this point in time is:
-3 years my senior.
-a graduate, which means I'll never see him.
-a Sagittarius, which means a fire sign, which does not go well with water signs like me.
Ah, who am I kidding. I'm just making excuses for why I cannot like him, when already I do... It's simply because I feel like such an idiot. I start liking this guy who may or may not like me. There was hope! And then I have to find out that I'll never see him around in school. Sigh.
I'm starting to get quite disillusioned about guys and relationships at the moment... I mean, what chance do I have to get noticed by a special guy who can look past my plain-ness and see the real ME inside? Xinyi says 3 years are okay, and technically they are, but what truly bothers me is that I will not see him. What to do... Or am I over-reacting again? YOU tell me.
On to others, our Drama Club kiddies got a Silver for their SYF! It's true that it isn't the Gold that they'd promised us, but we seniors are proud of them all the same. They worked very, very hard for it, and they didn't let our standard drop! As Ms Ross says, it's a silver with diamonds and cherries on top!
To round this post up, I'm gonna put one of my favourite Skelto cheers in! :D
‘Dancing Dancing' Cheer

Skelto-licious~ de de, de de, de de, de de, de de, de de SKEL-EL-TO! de de, de de, de de, de de, de de, de de SKEL-EL-TO!
Oh, and my empire's specialty is to clap your hands and strike a cool pose while shouting "NICE~!" whenever we're asked a question. So conversations end up like this:
"Was the game fun?"
"NICE~!"
"Are you guys tired?"
"NICE~!"
"Are you ready to perform for the school?"
"NICE~!"
It was waay fun, though I think we annoyed the other empires a bit, since they all learnt from us and started shouting their specialties as well. So along with hearing "NICE~!", you'd have heard "AH SIO~!" and "KIMOCHI~!" {among others} coming from some other empires during the FOW. Naturally, is takes us all quite a while to calm down so our poor FAs can finally talk. Keke!
