Obsessions
Well, I guess this is what happens when you don't really know what you want to blog about, yet sign in anyway. Hmmm, what to talk about? I'm sick, but you guys already know that. My lappie is dying, but you guys know that too. I love PoT, but then again, I've been fangirling about it so much that it's a little difficult to find someone who doesn't know that I'm currently obsessed with PoT.
Wait.
Obsessed.
That just reminds me, during that creative writing class we had last Thursday, our tutor asked us what we were obsessed about. Of course, such a question was met with awkward silence and quite a bit of grinning on my part, though I sobered up when I realised that she really expected an honest answer from each and every one of us in the room. So, I had to do some serious thinking. The first answer that popped into my mind was death, but I pushed that thought aside. After all, I didn't want to mark myself as the weird kid on the very first tutorial...
PoT? Nah, then I'd be the anime freak with no social life whatsoever. Especially since the anime was about tennis (who really likes tennis, anyway? Though I must admit that I love watching it now that I started watching PoT).
Random fact about me: Did you know that there are tennis courts right in front of Yio Chu Kang MRT station? After visiting grandma, I find it immensely relaxing to stand at the train platform and watch people playing tennis. Even the sound alone is enough to keep me happy through the day. I have never played tennis before, but maybe I'd like to learn someday :) it's expensive though, so for now I'll be content with watching people play instead.
But back to topic. In the end, I gave up trying to leave a good impression on my class and just said that I was obsessed with death. Plain and simple. Of course, I got the expected oh-dear looks and a bit of silence, but hey, our tutor was pretty cool with it. She even asked me what part of death I was obsessed about. I was honest and replied that I was obsessed with how people die. Now that got me quite a bit of nervous giggling from some people... I mean, it's not like I'm some psycho who cuts out articles of people's deaths and keeps them, death just fascinates me. And how people die But then our tutor surprised me again when she said that she was pretty obsessed with death too! Hey, looks like we've got something in common then ^.^
So I guess my obsessions would be death (or more specifically, how people die) and watching people play tennis at the courts near Yio Chu Kang MRT station. I don't watch Wimbledon or the US Open, but I just like to go there to watch people learning how to play the "love" game.
(So this became another rambling post, huh.....)
