Cemetery

Okay my lappie is giving me a shitload of problems again (I think it caught the same virus I did, haha), so I'll make this a hopefully short post before it decides to die on me again.

During Creative Writing class yesterday, I teamed up with Stef and Laetitia to write a little something following the style of Arthur Yap's "A Market At Ueno". Go check it out if you haven't, it's really pretty cool. :)

The location we chose was a cemetery (no surprises there, coming from moi) and so we came up with this:

Sombrely-dressed tombstones in homogenous grey,
Lifeless blackened moss,
Innocent ignorant lichen,
Weeping angels - their cold faces contorted into eternal agony,
Names forgotten,
Timeworn etchings,
Choking tendrils of incense,
Gaping black maws in the ground,
Impassive cradles of lost love,
Fruitless attempts of appeasing the dead,
Crackling fires,
Gripping sodden earth,
Foreboding looming crosses,
The hills beckoning you to the last ending,
Heartless birds of death,
Tolling Bells..

Waiting for you. >:)

Yes we added the smiley face at the end to lighten it up a bit - I didn't think we would want everyone's first impression of us to be "OHMYGOD THEY'RE EMOS GTF AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

But all in all, our tutor said that it was "beautiful", so yay for us, yeah? :D
