Second Year
Oh yeah, me being the huge idiot I am, I forgot to mention that I AM NOW A YEAR 2 STUDENT AT TEMASEK POLYTECHNIC WHOOOO.
Yay to new classes (I got Broadcasting and Creative Writing as my elective and CDS respectively! *screams*) and meeting new people (I can't wait to meet the new dramatec freshies! Though if they're giggling idiots I swear I'll cut them. Rawr.)! Ooh here are my new subjects:
- APEL 2 (which is like CME from secondary school, only slightly less boring)
- Single Camera Production (<3)
- Broadcast Performance (I cannot wait for this! Though the makeup part.... Meh.)
- Basic Media Research (I have to stay awake for this. I can't stand statistics, but this is really important!!)
- Intro to Audio Production (which is pretty much intro to RADIO. Let's go!)
- Creative Writing (I'm not a good writer, but I hope I can change that!)
- Basics of Entrepreneurship (I can survive this.......)
And at the same time....
Boo to falling sick before school even started (random throat infection + loads of overstressing myself during Week 0 Orientation + Stressing out again during CCA Recruitment Drive = Very Sick Nat. coughsnifflecough.) and to my lappie suddenly deciding to fall sick together with me on the very first day of school. Sigh. I've taken three bottles of the dreaded Antelope Horn drink (I deserve an award, really, for surviving through that stuff), actually bought the medicinal powder to mix into my drink (bleagh) and taken enough panadol to start worrying about overdosing. They say not even 30 or 60 panadol pills are enough to overdose on, but I worry because I've really never taken so much panadol before, and so quickly too...... KOWAII DESU YO. So when I get headaches nowadays, I'm trying everything I can to stay away from those little white pills. I'm scared, really I am.
Unfortunately for my friends, I may or may not have passed my sickness to them.... I feel really bad about it because I'm sniffling and coughing and they still refuse to leave. And when I see them sniffling and coughing a few days later.... It kills me, no matter how they insist that I wasn't the one who passed them the sickness. Sigh. Please, please, go drink the antelope horn drink... It's foul, but one bottle should be enough for you guys... I had to take three because I had a fever, then recovered, then had a fever again, then recovered, then had another fever. So one bottle for one fever. If you really would prefer to die than take the drink (like me) here's a cheat tip: chuck the bottle into the freezer for maybe a half hour or so, then take it out and drink it while it's semi-frozen. No taste, no smell, and because it's colourless, you can keep telling yourself that you're just drinking cold water. It worked for me, at least!
Anyway I just have to recover from this and fast. School gets hectic from next week onwards, and I need to be as alert as possible!!! Especially if I want to focus and score for my subjects! PLUS I NEED MY VOICE FOR BROADCAST AND AUDIO OH GOD. No slacking this semester!
I'm gonna F-F-I-I-G-H-T! I'm gonna S-S-C-C-O-R-E! I'm gonna stop ripping off Business School cheers. XD
