Of Drama and Dolls

It's gonna be a busy start to the new year for Dramatec, what with 4 major events coming up.
1. Those Who Can't, Teach
2. Tomorrow Is Too Late
3. Open House
4. Lecture + Eulogy

Yes, if you haven't guessed, or if I haven't posted here, I AM BACK WITH DRAMATEC :) Happiness and joy, rainbows and sparkling clouds. YAY.

But yes, it's going to be a busy-ass start to our new year. We've got a major play that we're preparing for, titled Those Who Can't, Teach. It's a play by Haresh Sharma, and we've really got to put in our best effort (when have we not, really?) for this! Casting has been done, and................... I've been cast as Mrs Phua Su Lin in the play! For those who don't know who the characters are, I say go get a copy of the book and read it. It's pretty good! I was so nervous about the casting, but now that it's over, we have to start memorising our lines and working on our blockings/motivations/emotions/reactions. I'm so nervous, yet so excited! And a part of me just sighs, looks around contentedly and goes "Tadaima, minna-san."

Characters:

Teachers
Mrs Phua Su Lin - Natalie (me)
Zachariah Lee Wong - Damien
Hana Mansur - Zihan
Lim Tiong Boon - Darren
Cikgu Ali - Unconfirmed

Students
Ong Teck Liang - Shi Yuan
Clare Wong - Ain
Raymond Tan - Unconfirmed
Jali Bin Mohd Fariz - Zaidi

Sabtu Bin Khamis (canteen operator) - Amirul
Laurence Tan (Raymond's father) - Russell
Mr Ong (Teck Liang's father) - Unconfirmed
Mrs Ong (Teck Liang's mother) - Sandra
Kak (Jali's sister) - Fatin

Tomorrow Is Too Late is another play that is also in progress. It's about a group of students discussing what would happen if the world were to really end. What would they do? What regrets would they have? It's all in the play, and I'm really excited for them!

The Open House is coming up, and I heard that we're using Eulogy for the performing piece. In a way, Team Eulogy has returned, but it's also incomplete, now that Suzette has left and Shi Yuan and I are working on TWCT (which means that we can't help out with Eulogy). Sigh.

On another note that's completely unrelated to drama, I found some really nice pictures that I wanted to share :)

She refused to tell me her name, only looked pissed off that I was looking at her.

I only wish I could be as beautiful as them.
