TWCT - Photos and Thoughts
OH MY GOD.
I didn't think I'd actually find pictures like these when I was looking for what Mrs Phua Su Lin looked like in Those Who Can't, Teach.
But they're so precious to me now, these pictures, especially since I feel a little bit closer to the TWCT family, what with all our hours of working together.
TWCT Teachers and Students!
Clare, Raymond, Teck Liang and Jali having their post-production party.
MPSS faculty picture!
Lim, Hana, Zachariah Lee Wong (couldn't resist), Sabtu (I think!) and Su Lin.
In all honesty, I was just looking for pictures to see how Mrs Phua Su Lin dressed. I was hoping to dress like her... But looking at the above picture I think it's gonna be a bit difficult =.="
Looking at these pictures made me feel like I was looking at old school photos. You know that nostalgic feeling you get when you go "awwwh!" and have to smile and fight back the start of tears? Yeah, I felt that way.
MPSS... The typical neighbourhood school with the typical Vision and Mission. It feels like we're all a part of it now, all of us teachers and students. We've got a history here in this school, a story that we need to tell, emotions that we need to express.
Maybe my acting didn't show it, but today I felt like I was really starting to connect with Mrs Phua, whom I'll be playing for the upcoming production. In case you still haven't guessed it, we're doing Those Who Can't, Teach, a play by Haresh Sharma.

The play itself is in March, and we have to sell 240 tickets for each day of the play (it's two days). That means that each of us has to sell 20 tickets per day. I have to sell 40 tickets for two days, oh god. I don't even know that many people.
Anyone interested to come watch? I'm not sure about the ticket prices, but do ask me (you can comment here below this post) if you're interested and I can let you know ASAP!
I was even hoping that those acting as their characters could create Twitter RP accounts for the characters and them interact as the characters. We could explore so much about the characters, and even create mini side stories for them! How fun could that be?!

On a side note... Someone asked me to let him know when the production was so I could let him know, and he'd come to watch. I'm extremely happy that he actually WANTED to come watch, but I'm also a bit hesitant to ask him - I mean, what if my acting is bad, like completely off, and he has a bad impression of my acting forever?
Well, enough of my stupid worrying. I'm really proud of us! Even though we have a long way to go... I think we're really doing our best here. Some characters even have their moments that EVERYONE in the TWCT family knows wahahaha.
"Cognac... Eh, konek!"
- Jali
"Hey hey hey... Mrs Phua Su Lin... Looking fine!"
- Zach
"I am Kakak Angel."
- Kak
I'm actually really excited to work hard for this production and help make it a success! It'll be the last time I get to be onstage before SIP starts... It may even be my last chance to be onstage, period.
I don't want to have to leave.
You all know it.
But there will come a day when the stage lights will no longer shine for us,
When we may feel that it's time to step out of the spotlight.
That time is NOT now.
But it will come someday.
Will we be prepared for it when it comes?
