Halloween 2012
Halloween has come around again, and well, what's Halloween without dressing up and going out for some good scary fun, especially with your friends? I didn't manage to go for this year's Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) at the Universal Studios Singapore (USS) because Priscilla Jie was preggers, and the tickets were pretty costly. Plus none of my friends wanted to go. Meh.
So the girls and I decided that we should just dress up this year, in costumes that we chose and put together, and just go out to Clarke Quay to walk around and just have fun as a GNO. We were planning it for ages, and we were all busy putting our costumes together and getting really excited for Halloween night. We'd even worked out strategies for how to dump our bags at home after school and then meet in a central house to do makeup before heading out.
That idea of doing makeup in a central house was scrapped, though I still went to Tish's house to do makeup (or should I say, she did the makeup for me. Awesome as always!) and headed to Clarke Quay with her. The funny thing was that despite the both of us worrying that we were going to be late (we were supposed to meet at 7), we were the earliest - Jo and Hui Min didn't arrive till later.
Jo was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
Tish was a Japanese schoolgirl, though after seeing her makeup we changed it slightly to a Japanese schoolgirl from the Battle Royale movie (her name was Akemi).
Hui Min was some hippie/hobo character, so we just called her The Hippie.
I was a vampire going by the name of Drusilla (surprise, surprise!).
It was so fun taking public transport in costume (and character!) because everyone was staring. Literally staring and gawking at us because honestly speaking, not many people celebrate Halloween in Singapore. Even then, not many people take public transport while in full Halloween costume and makeup. I kid you not, this lady was reading the Bible in the MRT and when she saw Tish, who was pretty much covered in blood (I didn't put the blood till we were at Clarke Quay station), she got all jumpy and kept alternating between reading her Bible and warily looking at her. I swear, the lady was pretty close to praying out loud in the MRT haha.
Well, it's been a long day, and we had to leave Clarke Quay by 10 because we (except for Jo, but meh) had school the next day. Also, we didn't really want our parents to worry, because we were all girls and well, Singapore's a safe place and we all know how to take care of ourselves, but it's better to be safe than sorry and it's true that anything can happen. Anyway, I'll let the pictures taken do the rest of the talking.
Retards, all of us. Complete retards. I haven't been able to show much from Akemi, cos I'm still waiting for her pictures and video, but I'll add those in when I have them in hand. Tired we might all be, but I don't deny that we had an amazing time, and I definitely hope that we'll get to do this again next year!!! ^^
Once again, I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween, and above all a blessed Samhain! ^^

Dorothy, flown in from Kansas.
Dorothy trying to act cute.
Akemi, who just managed to survive Battle Royale.
The Hippie playing around with Dorothy's dog Toto.
I swear this girl has had way too much weed.
Drusilla.
As you can see, she's had a good dinner.
And been bitten too.
The top part of Drusilla's wrist tattoo.
The bottom part of Drusilla's wrist tattoo.
The Hippie, Dorothy and Akemi chillin' at Ya Kun Toast.
Akemi and Drusilla.
(Where the hell was Akemi looking?!?!)
A better picture of Akemi and Drusilla, who got hungry and decided to have Toto as a snack.
Mmmmm.
Dorothy, with her beautiful sparkly red shoes (and basket and dog), and Drusilla.
The Hippie and Dorothy chilling, with Toto making a cameo appearance.
The Hippie and The Vampire.
The Hippie and Dorothy bonding at Ya Kun Toast.
(They were exchanging weed and cooking recipes, respectively.)
Dorothy explaining how her dress was made, along with her shiny bright red shoes.
I totally dig her shoes, just saying.
Drusilla having an idiotic moment.
And also explaining how her costume came about.
The Hippie basically expressing just how much she loves her weed.
