Rainy Memories

While on the way home from BMR and the PSA stuff just now, I decided to walk home from the interchange. Since my house is only 2 stops away from interchange, it wouldn't be much of a problem for me despite how my knees protested (I'd hit my left knee - the weaker one of the still-healing two - against a table by accident during the PSA thingy and well, let's just say that I'm back to square one. Ow.). So I walked, admiring the beautifully overcast sky and wondering what it would be like to be caught in the rain.

Lo and behold, I got caught in the rain.

Well only a slight drizzle, if I may be honest. It didn't matter much, since the more I walked the heavier it got. In the end I just threw all my stuff into my bag, zipped it up tight and walked on, enjoying the rain for the first time.

It made me remember when I ran in the rain once with Rikugame-kun. We were carrying stuff, having gone supply shopping for some event or other, I can't remember, and were walking back from the nearby mart area when it started to pour. Like actually pour. We'd stood at the void deck for a while, alternating between staring at the rain and staring at each other, before deciding to just grab everything and run for it.

That was the day I realised how good he was at running.
That was also the day I decided that I was determined to catch up to him, no matter what.

Needless to say, when we got back to school we were both drenched, but laughing our heads off. Of course, he then promptly ordered me to go dry off, while he went around hugging as many people as he could in order to get then as soaked as he was. I just squeezed the water out of my still-sopping-wet ponytail and uniform, and went to join my friends who immediately teased me nonstop about me and him (running in the rain with him! OMG so romantic!). I wouldn't stop blushing for the whole day.

Good memories, but hey, they're just memories. I'm kissing those old feelings goodbye. I'd told mum about the sign I'd received, and she agreed with me (after jokingly mourning the loss of her future son-in-law - she can be hilarious when she wants to be) that hey, maybe it's just not the right time now. We've got our own lives to live. If our paths cross in the future, so be it. Till then, I'm going to make my life as happy as I can. Like I said, I believe in Hitsuzen somewhat.

That, and well, maybe a higher power should decide to intervene or something.

DEPENDENT VARIABLE
If I should actually stand a chance with Rikugame-kun in the future.

INDEPENDENT VARIABLE
If I ever actually meet him again in the future.

INTERVENING VARIABLE

Any powers-that-be that should decide to meddle around a bit.

BMR is taking over my mind. Sigh.

Perfect weather for a cup of coffee.
Perfect weather to be spent with someone special.
